All About DGIS Welcome to the story of Dubai Grand International School (DGIS), where every chapter is filled with resilience, innovation, and a commitment to excellence in education. Inaugurated on the auspicious day of November 14, 2015 by Shah Abubakar Ahmed Grand Mufti of India, DGIS embarked on a journey to redefine the educational landscape in Srinagar, India. In pursuance of its motto and its commitment to the prime motive “Success in Both Worlds”. The early years were marked by challenges, particularly during the unrest in Kashmir from 2016 to 2017, which led to the closure of the school for an entire session. However, adversity only served to strengthen our resolve. In 2017, under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Mr. Mohammad Haneef Bhat who believes that “our survival depends on our ability to stay awake to adjust to the new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenges to change” and rose with renewed vigor and innovation. Nestled on the picturesque HMT, NH1, Green Avenue, Srinagar, with hardwork and resilience in determination, we DGIS sprawls over 13 acres of land, providing a serence and conducive environment for learning. Our campus is equipped with modern facilities including spacious and well ventilated classrooms, libraries, IT labs, equipped labouratory, sports equipment, play grounds, music room, medical centre and well maintained toilet facilities ensuring a holistic development and experience for our students. DGIS started from pre-nursery to class 7th in its early years before expanding to include a senior wing. DGIS is more than just a school; it’s a gateway to the world.
